It has come to our attention that some individuals are targeting people for donations or payments under the guise of Animal Care & Control.
We want to make it clear that Animal Care & Control WILL NEVER call you to solicit payments over the phone for anything.
The safety and security of our supporters are paramount to us. The only authorized channel for donations is through the payment portal on our official website. We do not employ any other form of electronic payment.
Scammers often prey on the kindness of those who wish to contribute to the well-being of animals in need. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to animals@cmpd.org
We have authorities investigating this.
May 13, 2024 - Update on the Dog Kennel Renovation:
Kennel space remains a challenge. As we near the completion of our renovation project, we're excited to announce that the new dog adoption section of our kennels will soon be accessible. However, with 47 kennels still out of commission, we're counting on your support now and in the future.
As most everyone is aware, our kennels seem to fill up in the blink of an eye. We never know what the next Animal Control call for service might bring. That's where you come in! We're calling on anyone that is willing and able to foster. Whether you can offer a temporary home for a dog or a cat, your help will make a world of difference. Every foster family opens up a space in our shelter, allowing us to rescue another animal in need. Your compassion and generosity can truly change lives. Will you answer the call to foster today?
By submitting a foster application today, you'll be pre-approved to provide a safe haven for animals in need. When our kennels reach capacity, you can step in to give a deserving pet a loving temporary home. And let's not forget about our feline friends—kitten season is upon us, and we need foster families for our littlest residents too!
